>>That was the problem.. ASPI8DOS.SYS was in my second line of A:\config.sys so the SCSI CD Driver was not loading because its ASPI was not being found in sequence so the cd was not being seem.

NOW you're thinking for yourself. I didn't mention any of this.
Pretty soon I'll be asking you for help if you keep this up ...

>>No help function..maybe its a w98 DOS thing

May be. I've heard other comments to this effect.

>> . I wouldn't mind having DOS 6.2..is it available for purchase as a single product or download?

You can still buy it. My best suggestion is to ask Jon
if he can sell you one retroactively with your system. He might
just ship you one. Failing that, I dunno. I had a bunch of
licensed unused copies myself, but I just donated them all to
a charity. It's odd that the floppy version (three whole
floppies) has decent help but the win98 version (and also
win95 I think) doesn't. Actually the latest is DOS 6.22,
a minor typo in my earlier message.

>>BTW I like the Plextor CDRW and haven't had any crashing problems.

I haven't had any problems at all with my Plextor drive itself.
Only with the CD utilities that came with it. They have now
been consigned to utility purgatory, preperatory to being
damned to utility hell. I should've sent 'em straight to
hell based on their sins, but I believe in a little leniency.
But only a little. They have no chance for salvation,
inasmuch as they will never darken my hard drive again, so ...
pretty soon ... hell with 'em <gg>.

>>Catchy..haiku like...

Naw, not enough syllables. I did post some NT haiku here
a while back also (not mine, though). Here is one of the
best:

Such a large file
It must be very important
But now it is gone

Not really Haiku-like either because it lacks a reference
to nature (de rigor for haiku, I'm told). However, here
is one which does not have that flaw:

Your printer is out of paper
Your print job is lost
Too bad, buttercup
