I did not base my post on what a_rapper posted. SGI is MORE than just a rumor.I wish I was wrong..You can obtain a more "reliable answer" by birddogging a rumor yourself by springing a few sheckels and calling up industry players eg, Prisa Networks.
To conduct all of one's dd on the web is lazy..I do not post rumors unless I have them checked out from at least 2 different sources and have a certain degree of confidence.Frankly, I do my utmost NOT to post rumors unless I feel compelled to squelch rampant, unjustified speculation/predictions by anonymous posters who suddenly appear.I hate when someone posts " XYZ announcement tomorrow" because when it does not happen, it gives the SHORTS ammo to flame the Longs as a bunch of hypesters/pump-and-dumpers.

I hope I am proven wrong on "Blue" but to-date the preponderance of rumors is very one-sided, ie that BRCD has won Blue. 3-4 months ago, I thought Blue would represent at least 3 different OEMs ( different divisions ), then I heard a rumor that they would consolidate all 3 to 1 single vendor, now I'm totally fuzzy on that subject...the situation
could be fluid but like I said before, the oddsmakers are saying Blue/BRCD.If someone here or on Yahoo has better G2 on Blue, feel free to change my "perception"...I did not have a problem with previous posts on HDS/Sun months ago because alot of the rumors seem to be "corroborated" by different people.

This was not the case of other rumors swirling on HDS and Sun, where the positive rumors far outweighed the negative ones... Sometimes, one can also form opinions upon the way people answer certain questions..for example.." are you still feeling optimistic about so-and-so?"...sometimes, if they answer and enthusiastic "yes" or "absolutely"..then one can reasonably conclude that the issue is yet to be decided..on the other hand, if the answer is "no comment" or "we don't talk about individual customers" in conjunction with other rumors one hears, then the most reasonable conclusion is that xyz is not going well. This might be too presumptuous, maybe not.

In summary, I think that if one makes a decision to buy ANCR as a Long
position because: 1)they believe in the FC/SAN market 2) they believe that Ancor will win/announce its share of Tier 1 business 3)they believe it will demonstrate significant ramping of revenues in Q4, and 4) Wall St will get behind ANCR in terms of raising cash and analyst coverage ...then they will be satisfied with their decision over the next 3-6-12-24 months..

On the other hand, if one buys ANCR because they think "Blue" is imminent and then tomorrow or the next day BRCD announces "Blue", then that person and others who bought for the same reason are likely to bail out the same day in a panic and be shaken out 1-2 points lower only to see some "Strong Hands" (who know more about what is going on behind the scenes than what is posted on the Internet ) buy that dip and get a great bargain at their expense.
