Thursday, June 17th, 1999 Economic data Jobless claims = -28k to 297k dol.gov Trade Deficit for April = -18.9B census.gov The Nation's international deficit in goods and services was $18.9 billion in April, virtually unchanged from March (revised), as exports and imports increased. Philly Fed for June = 5.3 down from 21.1 in May phil.frb.org Indicators of manufacturing growth declined from the relatively high readings of the previous few months. Growth in both shipments and new orders has slowed. Manufacturers reported increases in input prices this month but not similar price increases for their own manufactured goods.
