Hi Howard, that is reasonable. The difficulty here is that almost every brokerage firm has been disciplined for something at one time or another. One person gets in trouble, and that is supposed to impinge the character of everyone who ever worked there? That is the grounds upon which jhild makes the connection. Very foolish if you ask me.

Go to any church (or other house of worship) and ask for a show of hands of people who have received traffic tickets. Do the same thing in any office anywhere, in any supermarket, in any hardware store and so on. You will find good people who have received traffic tickets in all walks of life. So what!

Many fines fall into that category and do not mean a brokerage is a hotbed of fraudulent activity, nor does it mean someone who once worked there is a criminal either.

jhild made the connection without comment. Except of course for the context which is the entire body of his posts here, including his prior allegations of mob involvement.

I happen to know the people who own Castle. Hard working folks. Good people. I think this is a really good thing. They have been running a very successful daytrading room for quite some time now. They know their stuff.

Castle Securities has had it's share of bad press too - recently cited for stock manipulation, and excessive and fraudulent markups on equities transactions. Lots of court activity. In 1997 Bear Stearns accused them of ...,improper and illegal trading activites ("SOES bandits", I think was the phrase used). No matter how you look at it, the sleaze factor is a problem.
