Yiwu, because I'm not even living in the US I have less right than you to claim responsible the US government for their money spending.

One thing you do not seem to understand is that
the reason that China can be good friends with
both Yugoslavia and Albania is because China
never interfere their internal affairs. A third
country simply has NO RIGHT to demand what
other countries should do about their internal
ethnic conflict. This is one major principle in
China's foreign policy.

China will only make suggestion and
will never do things like imperialist countries do
to another country (like what the US did to those
S. American countries), period. It is up to them
whether they listen or not.

So Yiwu, that is what I am interested in. What suggestions may the Chinese government have made to Serbia in order to avoid a escalation of ethnic conflicts inside the former Yugoslav Republics and which suggestions to Albania might have helped? (The suggestions of Western politicians, that had contact to e.g. Mr. Milosevic obviously could not ensure stability in that region).
I feel if a power so strong as China cannot help its' friends to behave nicely, friendship should be loosened or broken from China's side on behalf of Chinese interest and China's honor.

Of course I cannot judge on how much Chinese insistence on the principle of non-interference may be based on a possible interest to avoid international criticism against China for some ethnic conflicts internal to China. It is because I am simply not informed, I would like to learn.

Thanks for your long and helpful respond. MNI.

I disagree. Any thinking person who has studied World War II would too. Crimes against humanity committed by governments should not and cannot be tolerated. Just because a government has established hegemony over a people doesn't mean it has the right to do whatever it wants to those people. It is obligatory for other nations to intervene. This is the lesson of WW2. If the communists that currently rule the mainland have a policy as you indicate, then their policy is flawed and the people of China should move to fix that flaw.

Its good you pay your taxes here, otherwise, you could go to jail.<g>

Freedom of expression, is that also one of the tenets of that government you seem to tout so often?<g>
