Steeny, exactly what is MSFT's monopoly now that it should deserve a higher PE?
NSCP is coming out with a new browser.
-LINUX is threatening to become the new OS
-SUNW feels we don't need a a giant OS to surf the web and they are right.
--Office 2000 per Wall Sreet Jour is labeled as overkill: most people don't need it.The old version is good enough.
-other MSFT programs are being sold by others, NOVELL, etc.
-DOJ will soon make sure MSFT gets back in their bully corner.

I say: buy AOL,

TA

Steeny, aol's monthly volume peaked in October and November, the rally in March and early April was on weak comparative volume, smacks of distribution.

Other leaders have worse volume profiles, look at the volume climax on Yahoo in July 98 and the downslope of volume since then with two inverted weekly hammers at the spike tops. AMZN basically the same picture.

I'm expecting this rally to have some staying power, although we have a cycle low due 1st week of July, it wouldn't surprise me to see the nets rally into yahoo's earnings.

I would watch the internets volume on this leg up for further signs of deterioration.

the cycle peaked late and may bottom late.
