Hi, I found this on Voodoo Extreme:

---------------------------------------
3dfx Enacts Stock repurchase 1:50am Billy "Wicked" Wilson
from Next-Gen:

The Board's decision to enact the company resolution means that the two million shares may be freely repurchased in the open market. The move is an avoidance of a possible share dilution in the future which would affect both the company and its shareholders.
Company president and CEO Greg Ballard said, "Our Board of Directors felt that an investment in our own stock would be beneficial to the Company and its stockholders. The repurchases will reduce the long-term potential dilution that might result from issuances under the Company's stock benefit plans."

---------------------------------------
This sounds good.

While I like the idea of getting our name out there, I certainly don't want to dilute our status as a "premium" part

They only mention 2 parts, the hamerhead FX and the FX force-feedback racing wheel, not the entire Interact lineup. Both look like compelling parts to me, especially for $40. Maybe not "top of the line", but I think the value of selling the $150 thrustmaster is limited. I tried Interact's dual analog thumbpad sega controller a while ago at a best buy. I thought it was a pretty nice controller and wondered where I could get something like it for the PC! Now I can, and from 3dfx to boot! I've never tried a hand held racing wheel before so I can't really comment on those. Anyone tried one?

But I think the 2 parts look high-end-mainstream so as not to dilute 3dfx's image and they should sell in quantity. $40 for nice, fore-feedback controllers sounds like a good market to me! Especially when 3dfx isn't involved in the production; just a royalty off the top for the 3dfx name. Not that I think 3dfx will make a lot of money on this, but I'll take easy money any day.
