Steve can you clear this question up with me? Are there any other ecn pass through charges besides inca on mb trading? do they actually pick up these charges? If they do, this is what i liked most about them if i was correct in my assumption.
Thanks for the quick response

I've heard good things about RML too, but they clear through Penson, and Penson's back-room operations are the pits (they're downright mean to even their nice customers, too). Don't know about jpr and remote. -Steve

Steve,

I don't know when or where you were when your account cleared through Penson, but my understanding is that there have been big changes in the last several months. I'm with Watley now (which clears through Penson), having recently left MBT, and I've found them to be excellent, at least so far. The online resources are terrific...everything is easily understandable and accessible, you can slice and dice your account information online any number of ways (by security, by any period you specify, etc), you can see a history of cash inflows and outflows in your account, etc. You can also very easily download the data directly into Quicken. (You can do the same with MBT's account information with an externally licensed program called StockTax, but the I found the program cumbersome and sometimes painful to use). And so far everything has been completely accurate. Their website is wonderful.

I can't say the same about clearing through Southwest. I found the monthly statements useless, the daily information that they send to MBT ridden with errors, often late and not clearly labelled. Even MBT has been critical of them and was, at least for awhile, looking for clearing elsewhere. Don't know what the status of any such effort is currently, as they seemed to have gone silent on the issue.

FWIW...
