Like ethics, moral theology also deals with the moral actions of man; but unlike ethics it has its origin
in supernaturally revealed truth.

The precise distinction I was offering as a thesis for discussion. But I think (hope?) I come at it from an different direction from the Catholic Church.

Actually, it's the Pope who is infallible when speaking ex cathedra on questions of faith and morals. The rest of you guys just swallow what he says whole without even wiping the spit off, as if you weren't part of the Church at all but merely subjects. I don't mean to insult your faith, but I think its hateful for any organization that doesn't consult women to make rules for them. And leave no way for the faithful to teach the authorities of their blunders. At least the Roman Catholic Church is dying for lack of priests. Maybe the next pope will have a revelation and decide to admit women to the priesthood.
Of course, I reject all organized religion, i.e. where one gets his story of God from someone else. I think everyone should figure out independently what God means to them. If you can't find something that works for you, its find to borrow from someone else. But no one should be a slave to a belief they had no part in making or choosing.
