So although the entertainment software industry as a whole may be measured in the billions of retail dollars that includes all sectors of the industry and I don't believe it is returning much money to the developers/publishers on a game by game basis.

Over 4 billion in sales and 634 million in net income. At a 20 PE that would make 3dfx's share price...

Electronics Arts, one of the largest PC game publishers, only makes 20% of it's total revenue from PC products. All the money is in the console business, which is probably where 3dfx would go.
