Real Software<REAL.BR> says Tava prospectus okayed

BRUSSELS, June 17 (Reuters) - Belgian software developer Real Software said on Thursday the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has approved the prospectus for its proposed merger with U.S.-based Tava Technologies <TAVA.O>.

Tava's board of directors has already approved the proposed merger.

Tava shareholders are due to vote on the proposal at an extraordinary shareholders meeting on July 19.

"They got into this stock for the guaranteed $8 and will vote for the merger. If the deal falls through, they will bail out as fast as they can."

Isn't it also possible, that due to the fact that TAVA is doing more and more business with major corporations and municipalities, that some other company could come along and make an offer that is more in line with the "real" value of TAVA thereby benefiting these new shareholders as well as the old shareholders with a greater return on their investment? Under the present plan, only the officers who were granted huge stock options and the purchasing company are reaping the spoils. The stockholders are getting screwed.
