My husband tries to get the kids to try "new things," like sushi. They are picky eaters, they refuse to eat any dish that has mushrooms cooked in it. They used to refuse to eat any dish that had onions in it. I remember my dad bringing home chocolate covered ants, but he didn't make anyone eat them. He did get very mad at me for refusing to eat liver. One time he made me eat some, and after I swallowed it, I vomited, so that was the end of that.

It's really endearing, when you think about it, kind of a little boy thing. Like they were trying to gross us all out and probably giggling away inside when we went, "ewwww- daddddyyyyyyy, stopppp!"

My kids won't eat normal healthy food, but they love escargots, artichokes, lobster, asparagus, caviar, calamari. CW orders salmon in restaurants if he has the choice, Ammo lobster.

I asked them of all the meals I cook, what was their favorite.

"Papa John's Pizza!!!" Ammo said. He was perfectly serious.
