Yuck! what's that green crap up in the right hand corner.

An add!
Jeez, isn't anything sacred?

I've reconsidered my concern.

When I first saw the bright green "Sponsored by Datek" on the screen I was pi**ed and immediately posted a comment. I tend to be a lurker, reading mostly, contributing when I have something substantive to add. The bright ad totally changed the focus of the pages and deserved a comment.

However, with the change in color and after some additional musings, I've changed my position.

I feel there is a significant difference between the selling of advertisement space via banners, buttons, whatever, and adding a link to a business partner.

Whether we like it or not, GNET and Datek are in bed together, as it were, via the Paul Allen connection. Businesses utilize partners to spread the message

I do not take the addition of the "Sponsored by ..." as a broken promise and hope we do not loose many other posters to this issue. My only hope is that the real estate utilized by the "Sponsored by..." is the ONLY space so dedicated.
