Mike, to upload images from a compact flash to a PC is done most easily with a reader that costs about $20 and connects to the USB or PCMIA input. Uploading a half dozen high resolution images in this manner can be done in about 3 or 4 seconds. If you upload into a SCSI port, it's several minutes, instead of seconds. The SONY Mavica with a floppy disk was marketed as an interim product retain customers while SONY develops its memory stick. The floppy is useful only where the images have fairly low resolution and don't take up that much memory.
