kash - I see you've changed your mind since this morning, which is your God given right to do, of course.

Gee, Kash, by the way you are talking, you already forgot that AMD has let you down once back when they had production problems and warned three times in Q1. Now you think that AMD's victory is pretty much guaranteed?

Maybe you forgot that K7 volumes aren't going to number more than a few hundred thousand per quarter until Dresden ramps up, probably in Q1 2000. This is unless AMD jumps head-first into shallow waters and completely ramps down K6-x production for 1999. Maybe you also forgot that AMD themselves are targeting 1 GHz by the end of 2000, and AMD isn't known for sandbagging. Or maybe you forgot about that "glorified multiplexer" called the K7 chipset, which was something that Dirk Meyer himself couldn't give straight answers to.

But of course, when Intel slips, even just a couple of months, that must mean it's over, right?

kash, Re: Well you should stop being amused and start worrying.

I stick with my view and time will tell. Let's revisit this
in Q12000.
