nihil, the south of America is nothing like that today. That is a very old stereotype.

If you want to talk about racism, I grew up in Washington D.C. and spend my summers in Boston with relatives. Those were some of the the most racist places in America. And still are. Religion, as you seem to express, is not the root of all evil in America. Although there have been many awful things done in the name of religion, religion is also responsible for many wonderful things. I am reminded of this every year when I open the Combined Federal Campaign paper and see if full of religios charitable causes helping those in need.

Washington state however is wonderful! As free of racism as I've seen anywhere in America. And one of the main reasons I love living here.
