Ya know, I've been invested in DSL in some sorta way or another for the past 3 1/2 years. I thought it was the future. I thought it was what would make the transition from 56K. I believed DSL WAS the next logical step. Technologicaly it "SHOULD" have been and "COULD" have been. But........Just like I was afraid that the RBOC's would screw up DSL like they did with ISDN, sure enough they did!

Face it folks, RBOC's had broadband in their pockets "IF" they would have been as bold as cable to invest in the infrustructure like cable did. We knew this 18 months ago, didn't we Trey, Dug, and all the others that have followed broadband.

Westell didn't drop the ball, the RBOC's did! I know, I know, Regulatins and blah, blah, blah.........
Bull Shit! Westell "could" have been where AWRE is now with better managment and we AL know it. I think even the good DR. admits this now.

Bottom line............
Cable WON, DSL... Lost.......

Don't quite see the excitement.

Mot, TXN what are they going to deliver to teh ADSL world to compete with Cable. Cost wise they are still way behind.

Question for wstl is the qtr. Any surprises in the basic business?
Plenty of room however to maneuver.
