Correct me if I'm wrong. If you review Paul Engel's posts regarding the Coppermine delay over at the Intel thread, you'll find that his info is that it won't be sampling at 600 Mhz until Nov. It likely won't ship in production till early 2000 now. Camino - the only board with Rambus enabled was set for Coppermine.

Intel has a couple of choices now. The existing PIII can ramp to 600 Mhz on the .25 process but does anyone know if it is supported on the camino chipset. If not I suppose it could be qualified but that isn't a given is it. Second, Intel apparently has been getting 500 Mhz Coppermine's at acceptable yields. As per Paul Engel and others they could market these as a new improved PIII until 600+ Coppermines ship in 2000. The problem for Rambus is that it isn't very necessary for 500 Mhz chips. Rich
