I have NEVER seen a secondary get priced below the prior closing, but I could be wrong. However, I have seen it open the next day below where it was priced, which is the reason eDollar like to short it, I believe. You almost always get a dollar or two spread (except of course for Etrade's crappy .25 on BTOB - I think).

To me, the tricky part would be making sure you shorted it at the top before closing on the day it prices.
