re: Level II, I find it most useful for finessing entries and exits. It allows you to better judge the true strength/weakness, while at the same time (almost always) "making the spread" (buying on the bid, selling on the offer) when you use ISLD and ARCA in conjunction.

I don't try to "read" the market that much with L II (except when scalping), but it pays for itself just for the entries and exit improvements.

Certainly not essential, but nice icing on the cake...

Carl....not*****OT*****<g>

i agree about LII...well let me say in all candor..it's way too much trouble for me...period...i need to keep everything i do simple...

trading is stressful enough....so i don't care what the MM's are doing or thinking...means zip to me..

i've always traded with charts...and have started to learn candles, to help my shorter term trading ....P&F has been a GODsend to me...

superior supports and resistance lines, called Bullish Support Lines..BSL, and Bearish Resistance Lines BRL's...the charts are amazingly acurate... what was lacking was intraday, ultra short term trading trends...so i picked up QCharts and candles to help me...

now today Carl...both my candle reads and P&F reads came together for ELNK...same for MSFT & EMC...

again, any and all help is much appreciated..

my regards...Jerry
