I'm (mostly) out of the patch (very nice profit, thank you)
and back to the internuts.

Just instinct and IMHO.

Very best wishes to all on this great thread.

<<<SmartMoney.com: What are your top picks?

MS: Transocean Offshore (RIG) would be one of my best ideas. It's been
oversold. Transocean was once the leader of the group and now it's a
laggard. Sentiment will return to the deep-water players. Also, kind of a
sleeper is Parker Drilling (PKD). Parker should have a nice turnaround.
They're getting some financing on a rig so that will give them a cash
infusion, and they've got two nice contracts that are starting in a few weeks,
one in Nigeria and one in the Caspian Sea. That's going to give them some
good cash flow.>>>

Big Dog,

My thinking exactly. Looking for a nice move in the laggard PKD. :o)

Nice article Mike, as usual.

o scruffy one,

In the SmartMoney interview, you mention Parker's rig contract in the Caspian region. Do you know who the contract is with? I think it maybe the infamous AIPN.
