I even liked Mustang K7, although it was supposed to be somewhat of a slap at the K7's architecture.

AFAIK 'Viper' is the codename for the K7 with L2 cache running at processor frequency. Actually, AMD have had some pretty nice codenames. Sharptooth is my personal favorite. Has some of the same associations as 'Viper'. The worst, IMHO, is probably Chomper.

Kash, "whatever happened to Viper K7" - how about Vipon. And what was the dual headed snake thing in Greek mythology -- use that for the server versions.
