it's very important for people to "get personal" with their stocks. They feel that their self esteem is somehow reduced by being wrong and they feel proud when they've been right. The purpose of life is to organize energy, Intel. People do it by productive work, which produces achievement. Our sense of worth comes from our achievements. The work of the people on this board is to pick stocks that make them money. So our sense of self esteem goes up and down with being right and wrong on our stock picks. To feel otherwise would go against our nature.
