LindyBill, self-esteem for MEN tends to come from achievements... self-esteem for WOMEN tends to come from relationships

he/she who becomes emotionally involved with stock investments usually makes less than optimal decisions

I am a prime example for both axioms

The purpose of life is to organize energy

Nicely put, Lindy. The scientists would agree. Jill

Perhaps being a trader is a bit different from being an investor. I expect to be wrong 40% of the time and when it happens I admit defeat immediately so that I may live to fight another day. When I make a loss, it feels the same as when I'm making money - nothing.

If I got personal with my trades, it would probably make me hold the losers for far to long. And if I had a great winner, it would make me cocky. The only thing that makes me feel good is knowing that a trade was made within the parameters of my risk and money management rules. The end result of any particular trade is not important because I'm only interested in long term performance.
