Yes, for the same money, you would be far better off to buy an HP read write CD drive and be able to back up your drive in two cd's. Plus you can make your own Audio CDs from MP3s all the time.

Wow, if you know where I can buy an HP burner for the same cost as a Zip Drive (~$120), let me know! The cheapest I have seen is $150, and that ain't no HP burner, that is for sure!

Re: Zip drive, get rid of Microsoft Windoze ;o) Actually, I think engineer is correct that the next best thing after a zip drive would be a CD writer/burner, but that will cost you a little more than the Zip. Look for HiVal burners. I have had great success (as have all the people I know who have bought their products), certainly more than I have with Sony/Memorex/HP drives.... (JMO)
