that the transparency was such that it was better than that which he was accustomed to at one of our client's locations who happens to be a top ten WS brokerage firm using state of the art Internet provisions provided locally by a Tier One Backbone Provider who brought dual-T3 pipes onto location

Frank- This is music to my ears. Free me up from shuttling 30-120 mb files from my clients (zip/jaz/CD disks and fedex), free me up from driving thirty minutes away just to send digital files to my printers, give me a video feed to the computer room so I can check to see if there is a glitch.
This stuff can't come soon enough for those of us that are stuck in a service based business with practical location limit of sixty miles. (this is generally considered the limit for clients in a photo lab, although I have clients that still use me 3000 miles away)
Five years ago I did zero digital, this year it will be a third of my business. If broadband were widely deployed and inexpensive for me and my clients it would make the world of difference for us. Although I do a lot of face to face with my clients, most of my work comes in through the mail slot, fedex or via messenger. If I never see another messenger I would be overjoyed. Right now I have one client using ATHM. In the next few years, I hope to have them all on some form of broadband connection. This will free me up from the limitation of only delivering "for position only" JPEGs and GIFs on the internet and the "sneaker net" for bringing work home. I look forward to the full deployment of @Work.
