Interesting yes.. but I dont get it. Why would they want to pre-empt an internet run up?

Chinmoy Roy, correct me if I am wrong, but I would interpret raising the margin requirement as fear of a fast precipitous fall that a 50% or 80% margin may not be enough to cover the broker...
