Just got finished watching "Terminator." There was an example of needing all the guns you could get to defend your family. Of course, it was only a movie.

Maybe a thousand Californians own assault weapons - and a good percentage of these are on leaseback to Hollywood. Nobody's selling assault weapons. I never touched the political hot potato about a gun a month. Show me where I did that - or retract. Okay? As for needing an Uzi - somebody has said that for home defense a good 20 gauge pump is superior. Own the Uzi to frustrate the antis - taht is its real purpose!!!

Didn't even Elizabeth Dole say you don't need an Uzi to defend your family? Elizabeth Dole has the Secret Service to protect her family. And they sure 'nuff have Uzis, or the equivalent. If L.R.R. had dozens of Secret Service agents armed with Uzis sworn to protect his family's life with their lives, he might agree that he personally didn't need an Uzi himself. But I doubt the SS is looking after him. If it's right for ED to have Uzi-toting gunmen to defend her family, why isn't it right for L.R.R. to have the same weaponry to defend his family? Or is ED going to set the principle by demanding that all her defenders give up any weapons she doesn't want the average American to have, and limit themselves to what is legal for L.R.R. to own?
