You are 100% right Woody. Halibut fishing capital of the world. Home of the "big butts". No I have not seen any of our ample gluteous maximus DGIVERS around. Notice that no names were used to protect the innocent. Right now there is a huge King Salmon run in the bay. Average size is 25 to 30 lbs. Of course I'm sitting in Anch until Tues. in order to keep my spouse happy visiting grand daughters, sons and those types of things. I am sure there will be a few salmon left when we do get to Homer. Halibut fishing is continuous thru the summer so no big hurry but my favorite is trolling for salmon Kings and Silvers in salt water....I'll keep everyone posted as to the delicate flavor of halibut covered with beer batter and deep fried washed down with a few bottles of Sierra Nevada pale ale....

E', understand you have a college student on your hands now. I suppose you are catching a lot of ribbing about getting older and all that. Don't let it bother you, just crush their toes with you rocker........
