So if we wait a bit other technologies will prove superior. If that's the case why run cable?

I was intensely upset because I don't agree with the assumption that cable is inferior.

The brand is only as good as that which is branded. Brands can become established and then that which is branded is allowed to become junk, yet the brand still works on the uninformed. This is intimately connected with the brainwashing that comes from ads. Provide control over ads and the brainwashing ceases so that products under brands must remain good. The cable medium through the PC enables such control. Do you care what brand provides long distance telephone or cable TV service? How important is that branding?

I see you can't define what regulation is either. You beg the question or you are equating making fair with regulation. The purpose of regulation is only to enable competition and competition is ipso facto not fair. Therefore, you are asserting a common falsity.

You are making the same mistake that the FCC and just about everyone is. Copper and cable are distinct markets just like airlines and truckers. It is surprising to me that such an elementary conclusion is being missed by Att's legal department. It is the one argument that will withstand the onslaught of the community. Att's current tack won't and putting copper and cable in the same market will ruin ATHM. So you had better hope I'm wrong or that Att discovers my argument.
