Bill, I always want better than 50/50 odds. I need to be 75% certain that my options buy will be a success. Unfortunately, with net stocks, i feel i am at 50/50. My tendency has been to get carried away and risking too. As long as you are disciplined and don't gamble a lot on options, you are OK (maybe).

I have not been taking risks with out of the money call options--with less than 2 months to expiration. Next week, i might make a July out of the money call buy---I don't remember doing that kind of buy since February. I have stuck to July 70 calls--which i have held for about a couple of weeks(and added some recently). This is the first time in months that i feel (slightly out of the money --90s) are a good bet or maybe even. Got to remain disclined if buying out of the money MSFT calls---that is, don't add too much if the stock starts dropping.

Good Luck if you are in MSFT options.

Why not play options on internet stocks?

I read a really short blurb in Investors Business Daily about a product on the AMEX trading as SSB. It's supposedly pegged to the DOT at $10 : 550.30 and matures on 5/30/2006 at a minimum price of $9. The blurb said it would double if the DOT doubled. Does anyone know any more about it? It can't be that good. You have to give up something for a floor...
