Have you called go2net lately to run an ad on SI ?...my understanding from sources is that SI is constantly the first site under the go2net umbrella to sell out it's ad space. Hmmm, well I must admit my skepticism regarding ad penetration is based on figures I read from doubleclick... which is for the entire net universe, and (hate to admit it) that interview Mark Haines did with Russ a couple months ago when Haines mentioned the lack of advertising... however that was on the Go2net site. I started noticing that there is indeed a bunch of whitespace on the www.go2net.com portal site - or it is filled up with their own properties such as playsite. Not that this is unusual mind you, just an observation. I don't doubt SI sells out first but woudl that be enough to support gnet as a company... I doubt it, the consolation is that everybody is in the same boat though.
