That's from Leviticus, isn't it? I am not a Biblical scholar, but I believe the putatative Ten Commandments are from Deuteronomy? The Jews honor the Levitical laws, e.g., they don't eat meat and milk at the same meal, and they use different sets of plates for meat meals and dairy meals. I remember eating at the house of one Jewish boy I was dating, his mother also kept a third set of plates for Goys, so I could have a cheeseburger, and ice cream at the same meal if I wanted to. I have heard that Christians no longer keep the Levitical laws because Christ is the Sacrifice, but that seems strange to me. Mighty convenient to be able to ignore the strict Jewish laws.
