I actually don't mind the quasi-ad - it's pretty innocuous I guess. Toss up between 'membership fees + quasi-ads' vs. 'no membership fees + no ads'. As long as these are not those ads with blinking or any other irritating such irritating virtues I'm not too concerned.

BTW interesting that article says 'Sony' when it looks like the whole thing was about 'Sharp' and Conexant.

And the reality of that post of yours was HE started the nonsense. So good for you. What goes around comes around - an eye for an eye and all that jazz...
