Hi Donald,

I agree with you, why make it a contest of money and ego.....!
Suppose to be fun.

Make it a contest of points......
We could just use an index that everyone is familiar with and follows or use one stock. It will sharpen the trading intuition.

But we have to keep a close watch on Bear King>>smile<<Chip

We could include 6 from the Idea thread

Don,
>Also, instead of playing with a huge sum, why not make it as difficult as possible and say
we play with only $2500 limit, with no restrictions. If that is too difficult then lets say
$5000 to at least give more than 1 chance. I prefer the smaller amount since its
tougher. If you can think of anyway to make it tougher, Im all ears.
Lets make it so theres no room for error.

Some firms will allow you to daytrade 1 emini for every $2500 on deposit. But, the margin requirement to hold overnight is usually higher ($4700). Therefore, with a $5000 starting balance, you could daytrade 2 emini's, but only hold 1 overnight.

ps. i am not recommending that anyone should trade with tight capital, which will usually result in failure.

peter
