This is very good news and confirms a cash + UMC value of 730M DIVIDED BY 53M shares out = $14.

Gene: Something else is going here than what meets the eye. First I was told flat out DIMD will get $9 a share or NO DEAL. So since the deal will close in OCT, does that mean S3 will/should be trading at plus $18?? If the deal does happen expect S3 to spin off the "internet Appliance and Home Networking" business thru an IPO. One of the best things S3 as always done is made good investments(ie fab.)
