whoo! S3 is nuts! S3 sound boards? S3 Rio's? S3 modems? Can S3 compete directly Creative!? DIMD must've shoehorned those businesses into the deal. Otherwise, it would've made MUCH more sense for S3 just to buy out the video card business instead of everything else.

If the deal does go through, which is doubtful (you should read the DIMD boards on SI and yahoo, there are A LOT of pissed shareholders) S3 is probably going to spin off the non-video related products into separate companies or sell off the unit to somebody else. And it will continue to market it's retail cards under the DIMD name, because S3 doesn't have the retail presence that DIMD does.

Re: Simultaneous TV/Monitor output. Nope. the V3 doesn't support the mode. The monitor display turns to crap when you turn on the TV out.
