George, I know it makes 'financial' sense to "glaum" a stock up at lower prices, and then pay a higher price for the balance rather than buying 100% at the takeover price. My point is simply I haven't seen companies (not raiders... they do as Mac pointed out) do this, whether they think it's unethical or what I don't know. Take AZA... the stock was rumored all last week, yet what I'm saying is I dont think AZA was buying... I was simply wondering if anyone had seen a case where they did. Don't care about "having" anyone... just want to keep up with "the way things work". If companies like AZA are out there sneaking shares into the coffer before bids, the game becomes much more difficult IMO.
