Cisco is one of the leaders in the LAN market.

Now could anyone on this thread help me with this interesting issue: Would Cisco's technological competitive advantage in the LAN segment of networking be an asset in the WAN segment dominated by Lucent?

If so, how?

What do you think about the border line between LAN and WAN? Fading?

Any link to relevant material much appreciated!
