OT: Southwest's Customer Service Sucks as far I I'm concerned. When I went to the Q shareholder's meeting a year and a half ago, I showed up at 6:00 am for a 7:00 am flight from SFO to SD. When I got to the counter SWA told me the flight had just been cancelled because there were not enough people on it. They didn't call or anything. They told me I could take the 10:30am flight which of course would not allow me to attend the shareholders meeting. They also would not put me on the American Airlines flight that was taking off at 6:45am because they only do that if there isn't a later flight.

So I ran over to American as they were closing the gate, pleaded with the gate attendant, who said she couldn't ticket and the plane was leaving. She wrote down my credit card number and opened the closed door, and let me board the plane (how's that for customer service). RT was $200 vs. my $100 SWA. I wrote SWA and explained what had happened and they refused to refund the difference, they said that the problem was weather and they are not responsible for weather delays/cancellations. That was a total lie as it was contrary to what I was told at the SWA counter and the weather was perfect in both SF and SD, no other flights on other airlines including my AA flight, were delayed. I haven't flown on them since. It's cost them a lot more than the lousy $100 difference they should have paid.

They flights may be funny, but if you have a similar problem, you're screwed by SWA.

Sorry for the rant, but the customer service "reputation of SWA" is baloney for any ticketing problems.

Caxton
