It is true, the boys in the Brazil movie were eerie, but Vader is not supposed to be evil from the start, just unusually talented...On the other, Conflict and Resolution does not depend on kicking butt (which there was a lot of anyway)<VBG>...I think that you are being overly fastidious, frankly, as when you call for nuking the Gungans, or react so strongly to BananaHead, whom I barely noticed. If I had been as irritated by as many elements as you, perhaps we would be in agreement. I liked Jar Jar Binx, not because he was goofy (although I certainly did not mind some silliness), but because he got caught in something challenging, and rose to the occasion...Similarly, bravery is all the more impressive when evidenced by a teenage girl, who must have a great deal of character to take on the responsibility. That is the trick of all of this: Han is better than he knows, and having to fight the Empire draws it out of him; Luke is a callow young man, who grows up under the most trying circumstances; Leia is a girl, and yet has more moxie than many men; Obi- Wan is an old man, and yet he is called out of hiding to face his greatest challenge. So it is with the latest installment, where fate hinges on the mettle and reflexes of a young boy, and the determination of a teenager, and the Army of a bunch of bumpkins. Remind you of anything? "Come with me, and you shall be fishers of men"?...
