In the long run you have to ask yourself where are most consumers going to log on to pay their bills, at their given bank site or through their favorite portal, the portal wherein they learned how to use the internet.

Well, in my view this is an extremely important question and I disagree with you (with absolutely nothing to back up my position) that it will be the portals. I ain't trusting my money and/or account information to Yahoo, Lycos etc. The banks/brokerages are the places that people who are just putting their big toe in the internet waters will want to go to. If I could ever somehow get my parents (or wife for that matter) on the internet I can guarantee you they would not allow Yahoo to debit their checking account or charge a monthly fee to VISA etc. Just not gonna happen. But through their bank or Merrill Lynch, if it was really, really easy and idiot-proof with a rock solid 800 number to call for support then maybe we would have a shot. And to get the really explosive growth we(CKFR investors) want a whole bunch of those fence sitters are going to have to climb down. I think the banks are ultra, ultra important to CKFRs future. Without them I would cut my investment back by 2/3 at least.

All JMHO (and I hope I'm wrong)
