meathead.. how do you refurbish a product in a bto model???? the answer is you can't....think it through, you claim an in depth understanding of the old kanban methods....if a variable exists, the bto doesn't work....and the variable is the condition of every off lease unit that is returned.... ya didn't answer me..stop tap dancing...at what point do the refurbished dilute new sales???? i have no sense of what service dell offers....dell offers service but hellooooooooo..its not their own, its contracted out....the other "services" you refer to are part of the sales process. you can't go forward with certain partners if you want to be number one, with a winner take all mentality...it works in the supply chain of manufacturing, but once removed from the manufacturing the dell model does not exists...more revenue to the partners then dell... has dell done any benchmark test with the profusion? has anyone else?? i think cpq 8000 and 8500 had some test reports published today...
