They still can get in, but they would have to lie about their beliefs. Now that wouldn't be an honorable thing to do, would it? What a shame. Some of the nicest people I know are Atheists. They are good because it is the right thing to do, not because of an irrational fear of damnation, based on a belief in an ancient mythology.

It's ironic that the BSA was founded as a secular alternative to religious boys groups. The Girl Scouts have no such prohibition. Their leaders are much more progressive, and are not intimidated by the far wrong. Does this give you pleasure that Atheists are forbidden when their motto is "Any boy can join"? Do you think that they should change it? It's not very honest any more, is it?
