jdn, do u remember how much cpq paid for DEC? cmgi paying quite a lot i think for Altavista but analysts dont like cpq selling altavista. altavista rev. 2-3mil. 2-3bil is a LOT to pay for 2-3M rev.

CMGI is in talks to buy AltaVista and other Internet assets from Compaq for
$2 billion to $3 billion in stock. A deal would turn CMGI, an Internet
investment firm, into an Internet media outlet with a powerful Web presence.
