CYOE announced another leasing firm that will supposedly lease CYOE equipment to customers.

biz.yahoo.com

The announcement gives a URL for the leasing company, RCC finance, however, when I tried it, the link didn't work. rccfinance.com. The domain has been registered according to internic, but the site doesn't work for me.

One part of the announcement that looks like more-of-the-same is the description of RCC as being not only a leasing company, but also:

RCC also provides investment banking services that include comprehensive credit facilities, private debt and equity placements, mergers and acquisitions, and acquisition and development lines.

A recurring problem with CYOE has been that instead of making true cash sales to third parties, it has has shipped its products as part of tricky equity deals, involving CYOE stock. Looking at RCC's description, it looks like this might be continuing.

More on RCC Finance:

Altavista came up with only 5 links on this company.

One of them is a Motley Fool news item, in Nov. 98:

Regional competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) Advanced Communications Group (NYSE: ADG) dialed up a $3/8 gain to $6 1/8 following its announcement of a financing commitment of up to $20 million from RCC Finance Group for installation of switching and network equipment. Advanced Communications' CEO Richard O'Neal called the installation "a key event in the implementation of our strategic plan."

Well, when I look at the filings for ADG, buried amongs a zillion Form 144's, there is a 10Q that says that in April 99, the company decided to quit being a CLEC, and buy a small independent yellow pages publisher and then do only that. It also shows a horrible-lloking balance sheet. Yahoo shows a market cap of $173 M. Might be a short opportunity here.
