Ford stayed in business after GM/Chrysler started making cars. I think CKFR will thrive corporately or as a bank based or portal based operation.

Interesting (good) Post...

messages.yahoo.com

One of the analysts asked how the payment side would work and I think it was Sharon from Wells Fargo that said "just like it works now", but someone in the background corrected her and said "In Phase I". I took from this, obviously, that the payment side would be different in the next phase. IMO as long as CKFR continues getting paid for the payment side, everything is fine. I am afraid that the ultimate goal of "Exchange" is to start providing bills with the hope that they can take the payment part from CKFR in the future."

I think this post is correct and one of the reasons why CF's stock is down today. Yes, these three banks will allow CheckFree to handle the payment, until they get a good number of billers (it's just common sense). I agree with Pete Kight that these banks have the right partners (SUN and Visa), and have learned from CheckFree and TransPoint.

The question is how successful will TEX (the exchange) be? And what will Citi or BoA do, if anything?
