Charles, Re: The big bad news was not the numbers but the way things are done at AMD

Agreed except that this is no news. It has been that way for
a long long time.

BTW, with the announcement of Athlon, why isn't there any benchmark
as well as co-announcement of the necessary chipsets ?

IMO they handle this really bad. I have been saying that they would
use Athlon announcement to add positive spin to the ugly Q2 result but
it has become a non event that is not something I expect.

Re: "As I said in an earlier email, the biggest risk factors, K7 shipments and 180nm process now seem in control. "

Please open your eyes Charles. Jerry has lied to you over and over and over again yet still you lap it up like honey. No production K7 system has ever seen the light of day. No .18u material has ever been seen and there is no data whatsoever to say it is "in control". This is the same old recycled BS from all the previous CCs. How many times has Jerrys told you that "this time it's different" or "profits are coming" or "the yield problems are behind us"? Do you really believe anything he says now?
