Lafayette - OTOT! <You're right. Republican, of course. Remember Truman was a Democrat> Yes, I knew Truman's party. Makes sense. Thanks for refreshing my memory. I guess part of the reason MacArthur is a hero of mine, amongst many reasons, is that my father who served in WWII, and his Marine Division, was actually under MacArthurs's command at Mac's insistence for a while, instead of Nimitz's (normal for the Marines). My dad seems to be proud of that fact. PB
