Tiptoe through the tulips... Ron are you serious? I'll agree there are alot of day traders who subscribe to your ideas, but still think even speculators are allocating their capital based on some notion of what a particular market will look like and how their company with its particular technologies and business model will fit in. Yes the "info age" has changed much. Second round VC money is now NASDAQ. But the info age (think of all this smart little agents with bits of capital trading in a big genetic algortm) will reinforce rational allocation of capital and rational valuation. It is a period of very rapit infrastructural and tech change. The uncertainties of such rapid and profound change may hide the trends of emerging markets and may create conditions where "noise traders" thrive and speculative bubbles churn, but ultimately the fast moving trend of these markets will dominate and fundamentals will rule! At least I hope so, I still have to work because I didn't buy the Dot.coms of last year.
